CARLA MARIA ORSI

Carla Maria is an Italian fine jewellery designer based in London. She draws her artistic touch from her ancestors, ranking poets and painters, and her business sense from the entrepreneurial side of the family, the Orsi, who created Italy’s first tractors in the end of the 19th century.

Carla Maria began her career in the Armani Press Office. After having been Giorgio Armani PR for 5 years, she founded her own company Muse Communication, where she inspired her business clients and fashion clients to mix to create cultural events and to entice entrepreneurs to sponsor exhibitions, where she created the scenography of each event. A new concept at the time in Italy. Her many clients included Prada, Vogue Italia, Fiat, Worth, Merloni and Enel to name a few.

During this time Carla Maria was approached by a very well known jewellery brand asking her to wear their jewellery as an ambassador in Italy. This proposal inspired her to do extensive research in the field resulting in the creation of her jewellery line.

Carla Maria creates luxury pieces that can be worn formally with an evening gown or simply with jeans. The snake is Carla Maria’s theme, a timeless subject that has found expression in ancient as well as modern jewellery. “Snakes have intrigued us throughout history, from the Egyptians onwards—it’s an everlasting subject,” she says. Her designs are the epitome of elegance, character and coolness.

Carla Maria is considered one of the most elegant women in Italy. Delphine Arnault, CEO of Christian Dior and a board member of L.V.M.H. chose her to wear and represent Dior in Italy. Indeed she is always seen in Dior.

Carla Maria asserts “my jewels are designed to enhance a woman’s beauty.”
